Celebrating the love for Indian food
These are exciting times for Indian food, and at India Food Network, we are thrilled to be a part of it.
We had started IFN by building a network of chefs, who hosted videos of recipes from across the country.
It also had heirloom recipes, which were documented for the future. In some cases, we helped you with modern takes on traditional recipes with ideas on how to prepare them in today’s kitchen.
Our YouTube hosts also gave cooking ideas to the Indian diaspora on how to prepare their favourite dishes in a foreign land.
We are now relaunching our website.
We plan to make this a place where we will celebrate Indian food. This is where we hope to bring out the tremendous regional diversity that is there to food in India. We will document recipes and cooking traditions we have grown up with and feature trends happening in modern Indian food.
The Indian food blogging circuit has done stellar work in bringing out the diversity of Indian regional food and we will be getting some of the country's most exciting bloggers to talk to you about their cuisines, cultures and customs.
We will look at some of the exciting food festivals and restaurant openings that are happening in the modern Indian food space.
As someone who is passionate about Indian food, loves unearthing and telling stories to the world about the glory of Indian food, is keen to try out the variety of regional cuisine, and is excited by new developments in Indian food, I am looking forward to being part of the food revolution through India Food Network.
So, if you have your grandma’s recipes that you want to share or if your grandma wants to share her recipes… if there are interesting food customs that you want to talk about… if there are new tricks in the kitchen that you have discovered, which you want to talk about… if you have come across interesting restaurants serving Indian food, then please write to me at kalyan@pingnetwork.in or send us a message on our Facebook page.
We will be happy to share your experiences and stories and help spread your love for Indian food.
Hope you will be a part of this great journey with us.
