New Zealand's PM Can't Get Enough of This Indian Restaurant
New Zealand's current Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is just 37. If that wasn't enough to pique our interest, we hear that she also loves Indian food and mixing beats as a DJ.
Apparently, the affable PM and wife of television presenter Clarke Gayford has had several fond encounters with an Indian restaurant in Wellington called Indus.
Ardern often craves the Indian curry served at Indus restaurant. It happens to her favourite dish from Indus, which specialises in exotic Indian delicacies. Sources reveal that the restaurant was suitably surprised when it received an order from the Premier House (the official residence of the Prime Minister of New Zealand) in Wellington in November 2017.
That wasn't the only time though. Ardern has been routinely ordering paneer and saag curry along with naan, dishes that Indus is well-known for. That they also happen to be vegetarian is another matter of curiosity as it's the chicken curry that usually finds favour among foreigners.
While Indus was already reasonably well-known, with Ardern's patronage, it is fast becoming a top takeaway spot for several New Zealand politicians.
