My memorable rainy day stay at the Navi Mumbai Marriott Hotel

Situated on the bustling Thane-Belapur Road, in the heart of Navi Mumbai, Navi Mumbai Marriott Hotel is a true gem. Its prime location makes it easily accessible from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, just 26 km away, and the soon-to-be-operational DB Patil International Airport, only 12 km away. This strategic positioning is perfect for international and domestic travellers alike, ensuring seamless connectivity. Upon entering the hotel, I was immediately struck by its contemporary design and the warm welcome from the staff.

My room was one of the 152 spacious and elegantly designed accommodations the hotel offers. I stayed in one of the 45 club rooms, featuring truly breathtaking panoramic city views. As I settled into my room, the gentle sound of rain tapping against the windows created a cosy and calming atmosphere. The room was equipped with technology-enabled work surfaces, best-in-class amenities, a relaxing bathroom with a bathtub, and an LED TV. It was the perfect blend of luxury and functionality, catering to all my needs as a traveller.

The rain continued to pour, making it the perfect day to explore the hotel's indoor amenities. Dining at the Navi Mumbai Marriott Hotel was an experience in itself. The hotel boasts two exceptional restaurants: 7 Isles – All Day Dining and Nazaara. 7 Isles, inspired by the city's historic seven islands, features seven live kitchens offering a creative array of dishes crafted with fresh ingredients. From authentic Maharashtrian curries to international delights, the restaurant's buffet spreads and à la carte options provided a culinary journey that was both immersive and satisfying.

On the other hand, Nazaara, the rooftop restaurant, offered a unique alfresco dining experience. Specializing in Awadhi cuisine, it featured a picturesque open-air pool deck and a bourbon-based bar that enhanced the rich, authentic flavours of the dishes. Dining under the stars here was a magical experience.

With the rain continuing, I decided to take advantage of the hotel's renowned Quan Spa. The spa offers revitalising treatments with Thalgo products derived from the sea. I indulged in a 60-minute aromatherapy session that was nothing short of heavenly. The treatment room, infused with calming scents, was a sanctuary of peace. The skilled therapist used a blend of essential oils tailored to my preferences, and the soothing massage techniques melted away all my stress. The experience left me feeling rejuvenated and deeply relaxed.

After the spa, I headed to the exclusive rooftop pool. Offering panoramic views of Navi Mumbai’s skyline, the rooftop pool is a tranquil retreat. Despite the rain, I spent some time at the poolside, enjoying the cool, refreshing atmosphere and the stunning views of the city shrouded in mist. The serene atmosphere combined with the breathtaking scenery provided a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. For elite Marriott Bonvoy members and guests staying on executive floors, the 24/7 M Club on the 10th floor is an exclusive retreat.

The next morning, I woke up to the soft, pattering sound of rain against my window, feeling refreshed and ready for the day. I made my way to 7 Isles for a lavish breakfast. The breakfast spread was impressive, featuring an array of both international and local delicacies. Among the highlights were the special benne dosa and parathas. The benne dosa, a South Indian specialty, was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft inside, served with an array of chutneys and sambar. The parathas, stuffed with various fillings like potato, paneer, and cauliflower, were accompanied by a rich, flavourful yogurt and pickles. Each bite was a delightful blend of textures and flavors, making for a truly satisfying meal.

As my stay drew to a close, I couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment. Checking out was seamless, with the friendly staff ensuring that all my needs were met and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. Whether travelling for business, leisure, or a blend of both, the Navi Mumbai Marriott Hotel delivers excellence at every step.
