Masala khichdi

Procedure
- TIP : Cook the khichdi in a container that goes into a pressure cooker
- Add the washed and soaked rice into a container
- Add the washed and soaked moong dal (yellow split gram)
- Add the boiled mixed vegetables
- Add ½ tsp of haldi (turmeric powder)
- Add 1 tsp of salt
- 2 cup of water for cooking the given proportions of rice and dal
- Place the container into the pressure cooker
- Cook the khichdi for 3-4 whistles
For tempering
- Add 1 tbsp of ghee (clarified butter) into the tempering pan
- Add coriander and cumin powder
- Add red chilli powder
- Add garam masala
- Add ginger chilli paste
- Mix well
- Roast the tempering for 30 seconds
- Keep the tempering aside until the khichdi is cooked
- Add the liquefied tomatoes juice into the cooked khichdi
- Mix well
- Add the tempering
- Mix well
- Ready to be served
