Dink Ladoo

Method:
- For the syrup: Melt 1/4kg jaggery
- Add 1/2 cup water
- To fry dink (edible gum): Heat ghee in a pan
- Once the ghee is hot, drop in the dink
- TIP: Fry the dink in batches
- TIP: Only if the ghee is well heated, will the dink puff
- Once the dink puffs, remove it
- Allow the syrup to cool before adding the other ingredients
- Now, add grated and roasted coconut to the cooled syrup
- Add fried, chopped almonds and raisins
- Add roasted poppy seeds
- Add fried dried dates powder
- Add nutmeg powder according to taste
- Add the puffed dink
- Mix well
- TIP: As a variation you can also use black raisins
- Make medium size balls of the dink mixture
- Ready to serve
