Method
- Heat oil in a pan
- Once the oil is hot, add jeera
- Add chopped ginger
- Stir well
- Add chopped spring onions
- TIP: Onions do not have to turn pale pink/brown
- Once the onions are sautéed, add tomato puree
- Add salt to taste
- Add chilli powder
- Add turmeric powder
- Stir well
- Now, add diced carrots and peas
- Stir well
- Add little water (1/4 cup)
- TIP: Cook for 10 mins on a low flame
- Add green chillies
- Garnish with coriander leaves
- TIP: You can garnish with the stalks of the spring onion as well
- Mix well
- Ready to serve
