- TIP: Press the mouth of the fish, if white liquid comes out or if the fish looks a shiny white, it is considered fresh
- TIP: You can make pieces of the fish or fry it whole
- On the fish, add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Add 1 tsp mix masala
- Add 1/2 tbsp green paste
- Add 1/2 lime juice
- Add salt to taste
- Spread the masala all over the fish
- TIP: Make cuts on the fish, to ensure the masala seeps in
- TIP: Keep the fish to marinate for 5-10 mins before frying, you can keep it for longer but put the fish in the fridge
- In a pan, heat enough oil for frying
- Once the oil is hot, put the fish in it
- TIP: Flip the fish only twice
- Fry the fish on a low flame
- TIP: To avoid the fish from sticking you can roll it in semolina or rice flour
