Lockdown has been declared in most parts of the world. COVID-19 is a pandemic that spreads through human contact and is spreading rapidly. Therefore, it is safe to stay in your houses. Due to travel prohibitions, most of us couldn't go back home. We're stuck where we are, be it in hostels, as paying guests or alone in our houses. With everything shut around us from restaurants to street food and food delivery options being limited, it's time to cheer up & make the most of what you have. Let's put on our aprons and chef hats and ease our situation wth these delicious recipes. You might even come out of this lockdown calling yourself a home chef. Here are a few one-pot meal recipes that are easy to make:
1. Fried Aloo Pulao
Pulao is probably the easiest dish you can make. All you need is some rice, potatoes and basic spices you have at home. This is going to be your staple lunch or dinner choice for the rest of the days you're quarantining.
2. Mexican Vegetable Rice
If you're looking for an interesting way to eat the veggies in your kitchen then this is it. Your taste buds will thank you for it and the colorful rice is definitely Instagram worthy.
3. Organic Spinach And Corn Casserole
This organic recipe is a one-pot meal. The classic combination of spinach and corn is like peanut butter and jelly. You thank Popeye for making you eat spinach, I'm sure you'll thank Megha for this spinach corn casserole recipe.
4. Chicken Stew
Quick, easy and yummy. These 3 words are synonymous with this comforting chicken recipe. Most of the days you'll find yourself being lazy and might not want to spend your entire time in the kitchen. This dish will also help you prepare for the days when you come back from work and want something quick and easy to make.
5. Dal Khichdi
Missing home? Another, one-pot meal recipe, Dal Khichdi is simple and easy to prepare. It takes only 15 minutes to make this ghar-wali feeling recipe. So, don't forget to send a picture to your mother.
We at India Food Network are trying to make everyone home chefs, one dish at a time.
