Date & Sesame Roll

Method
- To make the sesame dough:
- For sesame powder: In a mixer, grind the sesame seeds
- TIP: For 1 cup sesame powder, use 1/2 cup sugar and 1/4 cup water
- Pour 1/4 cup water
- Add 1/2 cup sugar
- TIP: Ensure the sugar melts in the water to get the appropriate sugar syrup
- TIP: If the droplet of the sugar syrup falls as a string, the syrup is ready
- Once the syrup is made, add 1 cup sesame powder
- Mix Well
- Keep mixing, till the dough is formed
- When rolling out the dough, place it in between 2 plastic sheets
- Roll the dates into a a chapati
- Roll the sesame powder dough into a chapati
- Now, on top of the dates chapati, place the sesame powder chapati
- Roll both together
- TIP: Hold the plastic sheet and make the roll
- Envelope both the sides of the roll
- Smoothen the roll
- Now cover the roll in a plate full of sesame seeds
- TIP: Ensure the entire roll is covered with sesame seeds
- Cut the roll into pieces
- Ready to serve
