Beetroot Halwa

Procedure:
- Add ghee (clarified butter) to the pan
- Add beetroot
- Cook for 5 minutes
- Tip: Keep turning the beetroot around while cooking
- Add 1 liter milk
- Keep stirring the ingredients well
- The mixture should turn pinkish in color
- Leave open for 20-25 minutes so that the milk dries out
- After the milk has reduced in quantity, add sugar
- Tip: The sugar will leave its own water which, in turn, seeps into the mixture
- After adding sugar the mixture changes color
- Let the mixture cook for 20-225 minutes
- Tip: Do not cover the pan as the Halwa (pudding) is getting cooked
- Once the mixture has dried out, add the almond flakes
- Add the elaichi powder (cardamom powder)
- Add the pista powder (pistachio powder)
- Give a quick stir and serve
