Kalimirch Chicken by Seema

Ingredients:
- 1 whole chicken cut into pieces
- 1 large onion diced into pieces
- Coriander leaves for garnish
- Lime juice of 2 lemons
- 3 tbsp of garlic ginger paste
- Oil
- 1 ½ - 2 tbsp of freshly ground black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp garam masala
Procedure:
- Pour 2 tbsp of oil and let it heat
- Add the garlic ginger paste
- Add the onions
- Let the onions cook for 2-3 minutes
- Add the chicken pieces
- Let it cook for a while
- Add the salt
- Add the pepper
- Tip: To increase the spice, one can add more black pepper
- Shut the vessel and let it cook for 15- 20 minutes till the chicken has become tender
- Add a little water on the lid so that the chicken cooks fast and does not burn
- After it cooks for 20 -25 minutes remove the lid
- Add the lime juice
- Check if the chicken is done
- Add the garma masala
- Add the add the coriander leaves
- Add the remaining black pepper
- Tip: One can add 1 tsp butter or 2 tbsp cream to give a fine glaze to the chicken
- Kalimirch chicken is ready to serve
