Monsoon isn't all about the vada pav. Moving beyond the city's go-to snack and the usual kanda bhajiyas and pakoras, are restaurants who are celebrating the weather with special dishes on their menus. Try colourful cocktails, quirky bhajiyas and lots of chai at these Mumbai restaurants.

Pineapple pakoras @ Soam, Girgaon

Soam runs a 'pakora and chai' special menu almost every monsoon where the focus is primarily on street food. This time around, you can go for their pakoras (they have as many as 10 types!), dabeli or usal and misal, chaats along with a selection of teas. We are told that the pineapple pakora and haldi adrak chai with hints of jaggery are a win! The menu changes on July 28.

Bacon bhajiyas @ Bonobo, Bandra

Bonobo is running a 'Beer and Bhajiya Festival', which features a variety of fried foods. However, it is the bacon bhajiyas that we are drooling over. What's more, it comes with a salted caramel dip. There's some Old Monk infused teas and coffee too!
