What if Mumbai had its own Central Perk? Would it be our chill place post work hours? Thankfully the city has a number of cute cafes and restaurants that offer a fun vibe to unwind with our favourite people. After all, we need a place for those endless conversations to flow without any rush. And if there's some good food, we are sorted. Whether you want to chill with your jingbang or just catch up with an old buddy, we've found some of the cutest cafés across the city for you. Every day is Friendship Day!

Jamjar Diner

One of the quirkiest cafés around, Jamjar diner has a very fun and offbeat décor scheme. Don't be intimidated by the huge tilted cupboards as it is Jamjar's way of saying "we're cool like that"! The Sangrias are good, and it is one of the first places to serve them in mason jars. Play board games or simply while away the time by taking selfies by the jukebox.

Grandmama's Café

This café with two outposts in the city, makes you feel like you are indeed at your grandmama's house. The pastel colours, the vintage furniture, and old fashioned frames on the walls give the place a homely feel. Make yourself comfortable either indoors or outdoors, and order for their rajma chawal, Shepherd's Pie, pasta, Mac and Cheese or burgers. Good old days are back!

The Birdsong Cafe

Tucked away in a lane near Jude bakery is The Birdsong Cafe. Our favourite thing to have here is the quiche, the Blondie brownie, egg sandwich and of course, hot chocolate. The grunge look is what keeps us excited, and the seat by the window overlooking a quiet Bandra lane has become our happy place. Make it happen with your friends this weekend. Don't forget to gaze at the doodles on the wall!

Location: Bandra

The Nutcracker

If bougainvilleas are your thing, this one is sure to make you smile as you enter. The Nutcracker is a comfy place decorated with colourful jars and crockery giving it a vintage charm. A blackboard that displays the dishes of the day will help you make your decision as to what to eat. Go for the Nutty Spaghetti or the buttermilk pancakes for mains, and end it with The Seven Layer Cookie or the Baked Philadelphia Cheesecake. Finally a good place to go to with your vegetarian pals.
