Midweek Crush: Talismanic gold-plated jewellery at Nicobar

Nicobar is an all-around clothing, decor, accessory store that comes from the masterminds behind Good Earth.

Upon entering Nicobar you are entranced by a distinct spicy fruity smell as you take in the organised mess that the store is.

There are clothes, accessories, bags, travel paraphernalia, home decor, candles, among other tit-bits.

However, what caught our eye this time was the new jewellery collection at Nicobar.

The 'Talisman' collection is inspired by objects that are found and foraged in the wild, but what really made us euphoric are the ones inspired by food.

Lemon slices, cardamom pods, cloves, star anise, poppy pods, chillies among other Indian spices have been cast in brass before being plated with gold.

Starting at INR 1150, the accessories come as pendants, earrings, charms and hair pins.

This is probably the first time we willingly invested to wear our food, and it was money well spent!
