Pork lovers, rejoice! There is a new pop-up in town, and you cannot afford to miss it.

Hokus Porkus will celebrate pork as a core ingredient with a variety of dishes from snacks and main courses to desserts and condiments in a day-long pop-up in Bandra. "I pitched the idea of doing a sort of porkaholics bazaar to a few friends and after much brainstorming and exchanging of ideas and possibilities, Hokus Porkus came about," informs Rhea Mitra-Dalal, who is the founder of the popular Facebook group called Porkaholics.

The team

The pop-up to be held this weekend will see four home chefs come together to feed people the food they love the most - pork! The women behind this do are Mumbai's north east food curator Gitika Saikia, founder of Hungry Cat Kitchen and ardent pork lover Subhasree Basu, food writer at Euphorhea and founder of The Porkaholics Rhea Mitra-Dalal and Madhumita Pyne aka Insomniac Cook known for her bottled condiments and sauces. "The fact that we are all from the east is actually a complete coincidence," quips Rhea.

Rhea Mitra-Dalal, Gitika Saikia, Subhasree Basu & Madhumita Pyne are the hosts.

On the menu

There are traditional dishes as well as some with a twist to eat. There's Gitika's signature Naga-style pork served with sticky rice, Rhea's Pork Toddywala - a pork variation of a classic Parsi dish Gos No Bataervo, which is goat cooked in toddy, barbecued pork ribs by Madhumita, and pork pie by Subhasree among others. What's more, there are pork pickles and bacon jams on sale plus desserts made with pork.

Prices start from Rs. 250.

There is also a takeaway option, so if you are in a hurry, you can get some of the goodies packed. A bar and live music will add to the fun.
