Khatte Meethe Chane

Sweet and sour, chatpata Chana Chaat is a fun and tasty recipe that will surely top your child's list of favourite foods! It’s a smart way to serve your child protein rich kabuli chana in a tiffin that’s sure to come back empty. Kissan Sweet & Spicy Sauce gives the Chaat a chatpata taste that goes very well with channa.

Ingredients

  1. Soaked & boiled chickpeas: 1 cup
  2. Kissan Sweet & Spicy Sauce: 1.5 tablespoons
  3. Mustard seeds: ½ teaspoon
  4. Curry leaves springs
  5. Hing: A pinch
  6. Slit green chilli: 1
  7. Cumin powder: 1 teaspoon
  8. Chopped capsicum: 2 tablespoons
  9. Chopped raw mango: 1 tablespoon
  10. Sweet potato (boiled): 1 tablespoon
  11. Lemon juice: 1 teaspoon
  12. Freshly grated coconut: 1 tablespoon
  13. Oil: 2 teaspoons
  14. Chopped coriander leaves: 1 tablespoon
  15. Salt to taste

Method of Preparation

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seed, curry leaves, green chilli and hing. Saute it well.
  2. Add capsicum, raw mango, sweet potato and boiled kabuli chana. Mix it together
  3. Followed by cumin powder, Kissan Sweet & Spicy Sauce and salt to taste
  4. Switch off the flame and garnish the mixture with coriander leaves, coconut and add lemon juice
  5. Serve it with a whole wheat bread in the tiffin.
