Aloo And Dal Dumpling

Dumplings is a fun and innovative way to introduce protein-rich lentils into your kid's diet and these crispy, fried dumplings will never fail to impress your children. Tangy Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup will help take the taste and flavour of the dish to the next level.

Ingredients

  1. Boiled & mashed potatoes: 1 cup
  2. Chopped onions: ⅓ cup
  3. Grated ginger: ½ teaspoon
  4. Chopped green chilli: 1 teaspoon
  5. Lemon juice: 1 teaspoon
  6. Cooked dal (chana dal): ½ cup
  7. Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup: 1 tablespoon
  8. Black salt to taste
  9. Crushed black pepper: 1 teaspoon
  10. Cumin seeds: 1 teaspoon
  11. Finely chopped coriander leaves: 1 tablespoon
  12. Maida: ½ cup
  13. Whole wheat bread crumbs: 1 cup
  14. Buttermilk: ½ cup
  15. Oil for shallow frying

Method of Preparation

  1. Mix together potatoes, chilli, onions, chana dal, Kissan Fresh Tomato Ketchup, lemon juice, ginger, salt, cumin, pepper, bread crumbs and coriander. Mix it well
  2. Shape the mixture into cylinders
  3. Dust the dumplings with flour and then dip them into buttermilk and roll them into breadcrumbs
  4. Shallow fry until golden brown
  5. Pack these crispy dumplings in your child's tiffin box.
