Tomato Dosa with Chinese Vegetables

Chinese Tomato Dosa also known as Thakkali Dosai is a tasty dosa recipe with the tangy flavor of tomatoes. Add a Chinese twist to this authentic dosa recipe for your kid’s tiffin box. Kissan Sweet and Spicy Sauce helps to bring the right flavors to the dosa recipe.

Ingredients

  1. Dosa batter: 2 cups
  2. Vegetable oil: 2 tablespoons
  3. Finely shredded cabbage: ¼ cup
  4. Finely shredded carrot: ¼ cup
  5. Finely chopped spring onions: 2
  6. Finely chopped garlic: 2 cloves
  7. Finely chopped ginger: ¼ inch
  8. Finely chopped and deseeded green chili: 1
  9. Soy sauce: 1 teaspoon
  10. Kissan Sweet and Spicy Sauce: 2 tablespoons + 2 tablespoons
  11. Salt to taste.

Method of Preparation

  1. Mix the dosa batter with two tablespoons of the Kissan Sweet and Spicy Sauce and keep aside.
  2. Next, heat one tablespoon of oil in a pan. Add the garlic, ginger, and green chili and saute briefly
  3. Add the cabbage and carrot and saute. Add the soy sauce, Kissan Sweet and Spicy Sauce and salt and mix well. Turn off the flame. Sprinkle half the spring onion greens and mix.
  4. Now, make dosas as you would normally. Spoon two tablespoons of the filling down the center of the dosa. Sprinkle some spring onions and roll
  5. Cut into half and pack two halves per tiffin along with sides of puff rice and chopped pear.
