Baking Jam Tarts

Strawberry Jam Tart is a super delicious dessert recipe and a creative way to add the goodness of fruit to your child’s tiffin. Kissan Strawberry Blast Jam adds amazing fruity flavours to the dish, making tiffin time a treat for your child.

Ingredients

  1. Wheat flour: 250 grams
  2. Chilled butter: 150 grams
  3. Kissan Strawberry Blast Jam: 2 tablespoons
  4. Fresh strawberries (sliced): 150 grams
  5. Water as per required

Method of Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180˚C.
  2. Sieve the flour into a mixing bowl and add the cubed butter.
  3. Rub the flour and butter gently together until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs to make sure the butter does not melt with your fingers.
  4. Gently mix it together by adding a little water to it.
  5. Now chill the mixture for 10 minutes in the refrigerator.
  6. Cut circles out of the dough and place them into the tart moulds. Before baking, poke the tart with the fork and place a bean bag in the centre of the tart to retain their shapes.
  7. Bake in the oven for 5 - 7 minutes or until the tart shells are light golden in colour.
  8. Remove the tart out of the moulds and let it rest for 2- 3 minutes
  9. In a bowl, liquify Kissan Strawberry Blast Jam and drop a little jam into the middle of each tart. Garnish with strawberries.
