From being made into curries to roasts and sandwiches and nuggets, chicken is the most preferred meat around the world. As much as you love your chicken in salads and rolls, how about using your favourite meat to have some fun?

Chicken Pie

Just discovered your neighbourhood store has readymade pie crust? Make a pie, of course!

In a large bowl, mix vegetables, boiled chicken and chicken stock. Combine everything well and add this to a ready-made pie crust. Put this in the oven for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.

Chicken Dip

Dip your chicken wings in some cheesy chicken dip. It can't get better than this!

Mix together cream cheese, boiled and mashed chicken, BBQ sauce and a basic salad dressing. Make sure to mix well and bake in a pre-heated oven until slightly golden brown. Remove from the oven and serve with some deep fried appetisers.

Chicken Pudding

Keep the chocolate pudding aside and try this interesting Turkish pudding instead.

Begin by boiling, straining and mashing the chicken. Strain it a couple of times with cold water. In a large saucepan, pour milk and let it boil for a while. Add the chicken and blend it with a hand blender until well incorporated. In another bowl, mix together corn starch, rice flour and water. Add this to the milk. Let it cook until it thickens. Stir in sugar and vanilla and mix well. Take this off the heat and let it cool down. Transfer to a pudding tray and refrigerate for a few hours. Dust with cinnamon and serve.

Chicken Panini

Nothing makes for a better snack than a hot chicken Panini.

Slice a focaccia bread and spread some pesto sauce on each half. Layer chicken slices, bell pepper, onions and cheese. Grill them until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown. Serve with a dip.

Chicken Pickle

Pair you boring meal with a spicy chicken pickle.

Begin by boiling chicken pieces with a little salt and turmeric. Roast cashews, poppy seeds, mustard, fenugreek, cardamom, cinnamon and clove separately and blend them into a powder. Once the chicken is cooked, separate it from the bones. Heat oil in a pan and fry the chicken in it. Once that is done, mix it with fried ginger and garlic paste, spice powder, chilli powder, salt and lemon juice. Pour in oil and store in an air-tight container.
